Studied Art from the age of 9 with portrait painter Sylvia Molloy in Johannesburg South Africa using pastels and oil paint and drawing with charcoal.

From the age of 13 studied sculpture with the well-known South African Sculptor the late Herman Wald. Known for the leaping impala fountain in Johannesburg and the monument to the fallen during WW11 at the Jewish cemetery in Johannesburg amongst others.
